Georgia football is just days away from taking on rival Auburn. The Tigers sit at just 3-2 this season, but they are much better than their record suggests.

A big reason why Georgia should be a little nervous entering this game is because of the elite play from Auburn quarterback Jackson Arnold. Arnold transferred to Auburn this offseason from Oklahoma and he has finally brought elite quarterback play to a program that hasn't had a solid QB in a few years.

Kirby Smart recently spoke about Arnold as Georgia prepares to make the trip to Auburn this weekend, and he explained why he is such a dangerous player.

"First thing is, his athleticism," Smart shared via 247sports.com. "He's had two or three plays that were broken plays or plays that, maybe scramble plays, RPOs that were designed to be thrown, but maybe the look changed, and he takes off running. He runs for 60 yards. He runs for 70 yards. He doesn't just run for 8-9 yards and go down. I mean, he runs like a running back. He runs over you, through you, around you, speed."

Kirby Smart believes Jackson Arnold could be a problem for Georgia

Smart made it very clear why he thinks going up aginst Arnold will be so difficult. Arnold has the ability to turn any play into a positive one because of his athleticism and his running ability. So far this season Arnold has run the ball 70 times for nearly 200 yards and five touchdowns. A lot of these yards, as Smart mentioned, came off broken plays were Arnold turned a potential big loss into a big gain.

Not only is Arnold effective on the ground, but he has been efficient through the air as well. This season he has completed 87 of 134 passes for 846 yards and five touchdowns. He also hasn't thrown an interception this season either.

Georgia is going to have to find an answer for Arnold if they are going to leave Auburn with a victory. Thankfully Georgia's defense goes up against a similar QB in Gunner Stockton every day in practice, so that hopefully will give the Bulldogs the edge they need to shut Arnold down on Saturday.
