Georgia football is fresh off their disappointing loss to Alabama. The Bulldogs played well enough at times to win this game, but the Crimson Tide were the better team throughout the night and did enough to deserve to win this game.

Now that Georgia has lost the first game of their season, it is extremely important for them to come together and go on a run because they can't afford to lose another anytime soon. They need to put as much focus and attention into each and every game, which begins with Kentucky this weekend.

And it appears Kirby Smart is doing just that because he canceled his Tuesday night press conference this week which is something he never does.

Kirby Smart cancels media session after Alabama loss

Smart usually will meet with the media multiple times during the week before an SEC game. This includes a session with the media on Monday and typically one on Tuesday as well. Smart has had both of these media sessions every other week so far this season, but this week he opted to cancel his press conference on Tuesday.

The above post does point out that Smart announced this decision during his Tuesday press conference before the Alabama game. Smart pointed to the fact that his assistants and coaching staff are just waiting around for him during this press conference and that they all could use this time a lot more wisely as the reason for canceling this press conference.

But it's hard to imagine something else not happening here. The Bulldogs have had a lot of issues so far this season, and many of their problems came out during their loss to Alabama. So it feels like Smart could be limiting time with the media because he doesn't like where his team is at right now.

It will be interesting to see if Smart has another press conference on a Tuesday this season or not, but if he continues to skip it then that could be a sign that he isn't happy with his team's progress right now.
