Georgia football is just a few sleeps away from the first game of the season against Marshall. UGA fans can’t wait to see what the Bulldogs look like this year, so many fans are paying extra close attention to what Kirby Smart has to say this week so they can get as much intel about the team as possible.

During Smart’s press conference on Tuesday, he was asked to describe his team so far this season. And Smart chose to use one word. Hungry.

“The adjective right now I've seen is hungry, and that's the one that you see the most," Smart shared via 247sports.com. "You know, the fire, passion, energy, the new guys getting an opportunity. I hope that continues to pronounce itself. I want to see more of that, but it's hard to tell without playing a game."

Kirby Smart says Georgia is “hungry” this season

Fall camp is a grind. Georgia’s team goes through week after week of extra long practices during the heat of the summer. A normal week consists of a game at the end of the season, but that’s not what happens during fall camp. All that lies ahead of Georgia during fall camp is just another practice.

The grind of fall camp however is what separates the good teams and the great teams. The good teams in college football just look to survive fall camp and get to the beginning of the season while the great teams with championship aspirations look at every day as an opportunity. They look at every day as a chance to grind out the tasks in front of them because all they care about doing is getting better.

That is the mindset Georgia has had in the past when they’ve gone on to win National Championships, and that is the mindset UGA apparently has had so far this season. And this “hunger” Georgia has so far this year could be the thing that leads them to a world of success this season.
