Kirby Smart doesn't need much help to sign one of the best recruiting classes in the country. Ever since he took over as head coach at Georgia he has consistently brought some of the best classes in the country to Athens, and he hasn't shown any signs of slowing down.

But even though he doesn't need any help he will certainly take it in any way that he can get it, so the fact that the state of Georgia is loaded with talent in the 2028 recruiting class is one advantage he must exploit.

Kirby Smart's been dealt a perfect hand with the 2028 recruiting rankings

It is still very early in the 2028 recruiting cycle, but so far the state of Georgia is home to some of the most talent in the country. In fact, the Peach State has 31 players in the top 247Sports rankings which second only to Florida.

Smart has Georgia positioned as a program where they can go to any part of the country and have a chance to steal any recruit they want. But they face a lot of challenges in accomplishing that mainly because a lot of recruits still prefer to stay close to home.

So what if the top recruits are already in Georgia? That is what is happening with the 2028 class and Georgia could really reap the rewards.

Just because these players are already close to Athens doesn't mean it will be an automatic win for Georgia though. The past few cycles have seen the No. 1 player in the state choose to go elsewhere, so hopefully that is a trend that can end with this class.

Smart will certainly sign one of the top 2028 recruiting classes, that much is a given, but there is a chance it could be a special class because of all the talent in the Peach State.

But to make this report even more exciting is the fact that Georgia has a commitment from five-star quarterback Jayden Wade who is the No. 1 player from Florida in the 2028 class. Take that Gators.
