There are a lot of players that have the potential to haunt Georgia when the take on Alabama this weekend, but the scariest player of all is an easy choice. Quarterback Ty Simpson has been on fire for the Crimson Tide all season long, especially since they lost to Florida State in their season opener.

Kirby Smart spoke about Simpson during his press conference on Monday, and the comments he made about him went viral all over social media.

“So he's (Simpson) a talented player. I would say he's probably the hottest quarterback right now in all of college football,” Smart shared via 247Sports.com. “His two last outings, I don't know that I've seen an incompletion — like, the ball does not hit the ground.”

Kirby Smart is over the moon about Alabama QB Ty Simpson

Smart made it very clear how impressed he has been with Simpson so far this season. He even went as far as to say that he is the hottest quarterback in the country right now, which is a bit surprising since his very own QB (Gunner Stockton) played extremely well against Tennessee. But looking at Simpson's stats shows just how good he is been.

Simpson had a solid game against the Seminoles, but he barely completed 50 percent of his passes. That obviously isn't ever going to be good enough, but he responded in Alabama's two games since then.

Since that loss to Florida State, Simpson has only had five incompletions. This includes a perfect 17 for 17 outing against UL Monroe in Alabama's 73-0 win in week two. Simpson also has not thrown an interception all season long and is averaging three pasing touchdowns per game which is about as good as it gets.

But it's hard to not look at his low completion percentage against Florida State and not think that he could suffer the same fate on Saturday in Athens. But it goes without saying that Georgia will have a great chance to win this game if they can find a way to slow Simpson down.
