One of the top Georgia football rookies entering the NFL this season is linebacker Jalon Walker. Walker was thankfully drafted by the Atlanta Falcons, so Georgia fans will be able to continue cheering him on throughout his pro career as well.
Walker has been one of the standouts so far during the Falcons training camp this offseason, and he has done so well that he has even caught the attention from veteran Atlanta quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Expectations are soaring for Jalon Walker
Walker is entering the NFL as one of Georgia's three first round draft picks this year. Being a first round pick automatically comes with a lot of expectations during their rookie season in the NFL, but those expectations are even higher for Walker since he was drafted by the Falcons.
Georgia fans for years now have been begging Atlanta to draft a Bulldog, and this is the year they finally decided to do so. Now it is up to Walker to prove why Georgia fans have been pleading for Atlanta to take a Bulldog for so long.
Walker capped off an impressive three year career at Georgia this past season by racking up 60 tackles which included 11 tackles for loss. He also recorded a staggering 6.5 sacks as well as two fumble recoveries as well.
If Walker can even just match these stats this season with Atlanta then nobody with the Falcons will regret their decision to draft him. An impressive season from Walker this fall would also be perfect timing for him because that could be the thing that lifts Atlanta back to the playoffs.
Georgia fans have no doubt that Walker will be a great NFL player, but he obviously needs to prove it now that he is in the league. But so far it seems like he is doing everything right, and he has been doing so well that someone as respected as Cousins has taken notice of him.
