Matthew Stafford is one of the few Georgia Bulldog quarterbacks to find a lot of success in the NFL. He had a great individual career in Detroit, but his career reached it's peak when he was traded to LA and won the Super Bowl in 2022 with the Rams.
Stafford and the Rams have made the playoffs a few times since then, but they haven't been able to climb back to the top of the NFL and win another Super Bowl. And with Stafford aging it was starting to feel like he would never win a second Super Bowl.
But then the Rams traded for two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett which shows they are going all in on helping Stafford win another Super Bowl.

Bombshell: The Browns are finalizing a trade that will send two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams, per @rapsheet, @TomPelissero and me.

Matthew Stafford gets one more chance to win another Super Bowl
One year ago the consensus was that Stafford's career was essentially over. The Rams realized he was aging and nearing retirement and they even thought about moving on from him.
They thankfully did not move on from him because Stafford went on to be named NFL MVP last season.
Stafford certainly is happy to win that award, but he is at the point in his career where the only thing that matters is winning another Super Bowl. The Rams already had a roster capable of making the playoffs, but with the addition of Garrett they are ready to compete for a Super Bowl right now.
After signing a one-year contact extension this offseason Stafford now has two years left on his deal. It is unlikely that he'll sign another extension because of his age, so these could be the final two years in LA for Stafford. Garrett's contract however will keep him in LA through the 2030 season, so as long as Stafford is playing for the Rams Garrett will be there too.
Rams addition of Myles Garrett could be great news for Stetson Bennett's future
Garrett's addition to the Rams could be good news for fellow Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett as well.
Bennett is in a heated competition this year against first round pick Ty Simpson. If Bennett can win this battle the Rams could resign him next year and maybe have him be the quarterback to take over once Stafford retires.
Stafford's retirement could come in two years, so if everything goes how Georgia fans hope Bennett could be the starter in LA in two years.
This would be his first real opportunity in the NFL, so Bennett could use all the help he can get. An elite defense would be one of the things that could really help Bennett be successful, and the fact that he would overlap with Garrett to start his career would be perfect in this scenario.
There are obviously a lot of things that have to go right before Bennett would even be named the Rams' starter, but there is a world where he is starting for LA in a few years with one of the best defenses in the NFL on his side.
