Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss already found a new way to "fake" injuries
This is about as convenient of a time for Georgia football to play Ole Miss as there possibly could be. Just last week, SEC commissioner Greg Sankey announced that he would start suspending head coaches if their players are found to have faked an injury during the game. The reason this is good timing for Georgia is because Ole Miss is the team that has done this the most potentially in the entire country.
So now that is one less thing Georgia has to worry about during the game on Saturday.
While Ole Miss no longer can fake injuries on the field, it appears they have already found a new way of "faking" injuries.
Ole Miss lists a quarter of their roster on their injury report
This may just be the most players listed on an injury report in the histroy of injury reports. Ole Miss has a total of 26 players listed on their injury report released Wednesday night.
No, that is not a typo.
While this may not seem like a big deal for Georgia, it does create some doubt in their mind as to who they need to prepare for when these two sides play on Saturday. At the end of the day, Kirby Smart and his staff likely will prepare for everyone who isn't listed "out" already, but this is yet another move by Ole Miss to try and create a competitive advantage where there shouldn't be one.
Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin has been in the news for all the wrong reasons heading into this game. Not only is he abusing the injury report, but he also had a mini tantrum when the SEC didn't give the Rebels a night game for this game.
All this extra nonsense is likely just giving Georgia even more of an advantage in this game. While Kiffin looks for loopholes to create an advantage or outside factors to complain about, Smart and Georgia are focused on one thing.
Winning.
If Georgia can get the job done this weekend, the win will feel that much better after all this extracurricular nonsense this week from Ole Miss and Kiffin.
