There is one big recruit left that Georgia is pursuing in the 2026 recruitig class. That player is four-star offensive lineman Tyreek Jemison.
Jemison just wrapped up his official visit to Georgia this past weekend, and it appears that visit went extremely well. So much so that Georgia still holds a crystal ball prediction in their favor on 247Sports in this recruitment.
Since early signing period begins in less than a week, it is a bit surprising that Jemison has still not announced his commitment. The reason for that however has just become public as Jeff Sentell with Dawg Nation shared that he is waiting to see what Lane Kiffin decides to do with his future before he is willing to announce his commitment.
When 4-star #GoDawgs target @TyreekJemisonFb recapped his OV, there were two takeaways.

Lane Kiffin's drama is hurting Georgia's recruiting
By now everyone knows the drama surrounding Kiffin and Ole Miss. Kiffin has been linked to multiple high profile head coach openings throughout the season, but it appears that LSU is the team most likely to sway him away from Ole Miss.
Kiffin will reportedly make a formal announcement on Saturday after the Rebels final game of the season against Mississippi State regarding his future. This is when he will decide if he is sticking with Ole Miss or moving on to LSU. And it's this announcement that is causing Jemison to hold off on announcing a commitment.
Jemison is down to Georgia and Ole Miss in his recruitment, so before he makes his final decision he wants to know if Kiffin will be at Ole Miss next season when he is in college or not. The fact that this decision matters to him shows that he might be leaning towards Ole Miss if Kiffin stays with the Rebels, and that is a big problem for Georgia.
So when it comes to this recruitment specifically, Georgia might be better off with Kiffin leaving for LSU so Jemison can feel comfortable committing to them.
