Lane Kiffin and Kirby Smart have one of the best relationships between opposing coaches in the country. Kiffin is known for speaking his mind and trolling opposing teams and coaches every chance he gets, and Smart is one of the few that actually dishes it back to him. This creates a unique scene every time they play each other, but their banter at the end of the day is all in good fun.

This banter between the two will likely continue for as long as both are coaching in the SEC. In fact, it probably will continue much longer than that well into retirement when their coaching days are over.

The latest example of this relationship between the two took place on Tuesday while Smart was celebrating his 50th birthday. Kiffin took to social media to wish him a happy birthday, but he did it in a way that only Kiffin knew how.

Lane Kiffin's happy birthday wish to Kirby Smart came with a slight jab

50 is a big milestone birthday for anyone. Some people like to embrace reaching this age while others dread it because it represents how old they have become. Who knows how Smart is handling it, but Kiffin made sure to welcome him to this elite club.

Kiffin also celebrated his 50th birthday earlier this year in May, so he himself is an "old man" as well. So Kiffin had to make sure to welcome Smart to this club and have a little fun with him at the same time.

Georgia and LSU are scheduled to play in 2027. This is the first time Smart will battle Kiffin since he took over at LSU, and knowing how great these two programs always are this will likely be one of the biggest games of the season.

But knowing how unique of a relationship these two have will only add to the intrigue surrounding this game in a few years.
