Does anyone know anything about Memphis football? Most Georgia fans would likely answer "not really" to that question, but apparently Memphis knows a lot about Georgia.
In fact, Memphis head coach Ryan Silverfield appears to know everything about Georgia's program because apparently he wants nothing to do with the "standard" of Georgia football.

“...the not our standard is ‘Georgia wide receiver arrested for driving 900 miles per hour over the speed limit.’ That’s a weekly occurrence.”

Memphis head coach Ryan Silverfield calls Georgia out
This may have been the most random shot taken at Georgia of all time. Silverfield said on his weekly radio show that his standard at Memphis is not like the standard at Georgia because of all the driving incidents UGA's players have been involved in over the years.
First of all, why is he talking about Georgia? A comment like this is outlandish coming from any head coach, but it would have made more sense coming from an SEC coach. But to come from a random, unknown coach in the AAC is strange.
Second, why is he acting like everyone at Georgia is okay with these incidents that have happened in the program? Kirby Smart, the athletic department and the Georgia fanbase are not fine with any of these incidents that have occurred, so who knows where he is getting that notion from.
Finally, why wouldn't Silverfield want his program to be like Georgia's? The standard at Georgia is winning championships, is that not his goal at Memphis? Sure a program like Memphis will never compete on a national level, but does he not want to win conference championships and win bowl games? That would be the equivalent to Georgia's "standard" at a school like Memphis, but apparently Silverfield wants nothing to do with that.
At the end of the day, this comment from Silverfield did teach Georgia something. It didn't teach UGA anything about what it takes to run a successful college football program, but at least Georgia fans now know who the Memphis head coach is.
Well, I learned who the Memphis Head coach was today. Always something to learn… https://t.co/7eBUpMCYpR
