Carson Beck is a great quarterback. After watching him lead Miami to the National Championship game and nearly knock off the No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers no one can deny that he is a very good quarterback.
But he has his downfalls, and Georgia fans are the first to let everyone know the parts of his game that hold him back. Miami however went all season refusing to listen to what Georgia fans were telling them, but after losing the National Championship game they finally understand what UGA has known all along.

Carson Beck did what Carson Beck always does in the biggest moments
Beck is a good enough quarterback to get a team close to the mountaintop. He did so at Georgia as he led the Bulldogs to the SEC Championship game in his two years as their starter. But he failed to beat Alabama in 2023 and had UGA trailing Texas in 2024 before he got injured right before halftime.
So while Beck is good enough to lead his team to the biggest games, he is unable to get his team over the hump and win them. That is something that Miami learned in the worst way possible Monday night.
Miami had the ball down six with a chance to go on a game-winning drive to win a National Championship. That drive started very well as Miami quickly moved the ball to midfield. But Beck did what he always seems to do and threw an interception to end the game.
Beck deserves to be celebrated for the college career that he had. 95 percent of teams across the country would immediately sign up for the accomplishments he had. But Miami and Georgia want to win championships, and that is something that Beck once again proved he isn't capable of doing.
