Georgia football fans have had a close eye on Carson Beck ever since he transferred to Miami (FL) this offseason. Many UGA fans would love nothing more than to see Beck and the Hurricanes struggle because seeing him succeed would be a tough pill to swallow.

Unfortunately Beck and Miami have been one of the best teams in the country this season as they came into Friday night’s matchup with Louisville sitting at 6-0 and the No. 2 team in the country. Beck also had been playing very well all season up to this point, but Beck’s struggles that Gerogia fans are all too familiar with showed themselves on Friday during Miami’s first loss of the season.

Carson Beck throws 4 interceptions in ugly loss to Louisville

Miami dropped the first game of their season at home to unranked Louisville 24-21. There are a lot of reasons why the Hurricanes lost this game, but Beck may have been the biggest reason why.

Beck completed 25 of 35 passes for 271 yards Friday night. That’s not too bad, right? Wrong. Beck also failed to throw a touchdown all night while also being responsible for four interceptions. Those four interceptions are the biggest reason why Miami lost this game, and his turnover problems look all to familiar to Georgia fans.

Beck threw 12 interceptions last season at Georgia. This included three games where he threw three interceptions which included back to back three interception performances as well. So seeing Beck throw four interceptions for Miami on Friday really isn’t that surprising to Georgia fans because they saw him do that all last season.

Beck is a great quarterback when he is at his best, but when he struggles it can get really ugly. That is exactly what happened with Miami tonight which is the first glimpse of a struggling Beck that the Hurricanes have experienced this season.

Beck and Miami still have a lot to play for this season. They still control their destiny to win the ACC and make the College Football Playoff, but if Beck has more performances like this then Miami can kiss all of their goals goodbye.
