During the latter part of the first half of their huge home game vs. the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Georgia Bulldogs saw starting left guard Micah Morris get injured on yet another delightful Mike Bobo running play. While Georgia did score on that possession to make it 17-14 Alabama just before the two-minute timeout, the Dawgs cannot afford to suffer any more injuries along the offensive line.

Coming into the game, starting right tackle Earnest Greene III was ruled out for the game. This put even more pressure on the likes of Bo Hughley, Juan Gaston, and to some extent, Michael Uini. While Georgia has one of the deepest rosters in college football, the injuries are starting to take a toll on the offensive line. This could prove problematic not just in the second half, but as the season goes along.

Morris did have to be helped off the field, but he seemed to be walking at least somewhat decently.

If Morris is questionable to return, then that is huge for the Georgia offensive line in the second half.

In the wake of Morris going down, Dontrell Glover went over to left guard and Gaston went over to right. If possible, head coach Kirby Smart is going to keep this one close to the vest. While Georgia can afford a loss, does Smart really want the narrative to continue that he cannot beat his former team? Georgia is riding a 33-game home winning streak, but of course, it had to come to Alabama...

The big key for Georgia in the second half is to be able to generate somewhat of a pass rush. Ty Simpson's mobility was largely understated coming into this game. The fact that he has had all the time in the world to throw is certainly troubling. While the Crimson Tide still have not been able to run the football effectively, Georgia needs to cut it out with the mental mistakes to come back in this one.

Ultimately, this team is going to need to lean on each other, regardless of if Morris is going to play the rest of the way. The big advantage Georgia seems to be having is the Dawgs are getting all they want and then some on the ground. The problem with that is they cannot stop Alabama through the air. This has not been a first half to remember for Smart, Glenn Schumann or the rest of the UGA defense.

Georgia needs one of the greatest halftime speeches from Smart to date to be able to win this one...

It should be noted that during Georgia's first offensive drive, Morris was back in at left guard.

Apparently, the injury was not as severe it looked initially, but this is still something worth monitoring.
