Gunner Stockton is entering his second season as Georgia's starting quarterback. He is coming off a season where he led the Bulldogs to a 12-2 record and SEC title, but they unfortunately fell short in the College Football Playoff once again.

Expectations for this year's squad are at an all time high, and a lot of that has to do with Stockton and the impressive player he has proven to be. So it's just a matter of if he will accomplish what everyone believes he can and bring a National Championship back to Athens.

Mike Bobo knows he has something special in Gunner Stockton

Georgia offensive Coordinator Mike Bobo recently spoke about Stockton in an interview, and he shared five things that he absolutely loves about him that makes him different than every other quarterback.

The five things Bobo shared about Stockton are that he has a great family, works extremely hard every single day, is tough, selfless and as humble as any player he has ever coached. So while Stockton has all the physical tools he needs to succeed, it's these five things that Bobo believes takes Stockton to the next level.

Stockton also is an amazing teammate, and his latest stunt proved just that. A couple weeks ago word came out that Stockton signed a new NIL deal for the 2026 season. This news came after the Transfer Portal window closed, but that was on purpose because he wanted his coaching staff focused on other players before negotiating with him.

Stockton also signed an NIL deal reportedly worth two or three times less than he could've made. He did this so more money could be spent on other players to help make the team around him as good as possible.

So while Stockton is as good as quarterbacks come in the college game, who he is off the field is just as important to his success. And it's what takes place off the field that has Bobo extremely excited about next season.
