Georgia football and Kirby Smart continue their pursuit of many of the top players in the 2026 recruiting class. And while not many recruits are announcing commitments this time of the year, they are narrowing their recruitments down and naming who their final contenders are.
Georgia has been included in a lot of these lists recently, and they were once again included as a contender for two solid prospects in the 2026 class.
4-star EDGE Trent Henderson
The first elite recruit to put Georgia in their top schools is four-star EDGE Trent Henderson.

According to 247Sports, Henderson is the No. 12 overall player in the country. He also is the top ranked player from his home state of Florida and the No. 3 EDGE in the country.
Henderson shared his top 10 schools on Monday, and Georgia made the cut according to On3's Hayes Fawcett. USC, LSU, Florida, Michigan, Auburn, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Florida State and Texas also made his top 10 as well. There are currently no official predictions made in Henderson's recruitment yet, but On3 does name Auburn as the current leader. They however only have a 30 percent chance to win this recruitment as it stands today, so this recruitment is still wide open for anyone to win.
4-star RB Brian Bonner
Four-star running back Brian Bonner is the second recruit that gave Georgia some great news recently.

According to 247Sports, Bonner is the No. 101 overall player in the country. Bonner also is the No. 18 player from his home state of California and the No. 5 running back in the 2026 class as well.
Bonner announced his top eight schools on Tuesday, and Georgia made the cut along with Notre Dame, Nebraska, Michigan, UCLA, Penn State, Washington and Stanford.
Similarly to Henderson, there has not been an official prediction made in Bonner's recruitment either. On3 isn't too confident right now in this recruitment either as UCLA is the favorite with a 34 percent chance to win this recruitment. So Georgia clearly has every chance to move up Bonner's list and win this recruitment as well.
