Georgia’s biggest wish was granted Monday night during the National Championship game. The last thing most people from Georgia wanted to see was Carson Beck hoist the championship trophy with Miami after he ditched the program last year. Thankfully Indiana pulled through and took down the Hurricanes in dramatic fashion.

While most people from Georgia were happy with this result, current UGA running back Nate Frazier sent an encouraging message to Beck after the game that shows he has a completely different perspective than most fans.

Nate Frazier is still in Carson Beck’s corner

Frazier made it very clear that he was hoping to see Beck and Miami win Monday night. And while that may seem strange to Georgia fans who couldn’t stomach seeing Beck win, it actually makes some sense that Frazier was cheering for him.

Frazier and Beck went to war together. Beck was the starting quarterback last season and Frazier became the No. 1 running back midway through the season. So these two have a special bond that most can’t understand because they played alongside each other for a season.

This bond apparently has continued into this season even though Beck is with Miami.

So why doesn’t Frazier care about Beck’s betrayal like most Georgia fans do? His perspective is completely different because he understands that everyone has to look out for themselves and do what is best for their careers. So if Beck thought that moving to Miami for his final season was the best option for him then that is Frazier was supportive of that decision.

Who knows what everyone else in the locker room thinks, but it’s clear that Frazier has no ill feelings towards Beck. And after a year where Georgia wanted to see Beck lose as much as possible, it is refreshing to see Frazier handle things a little differently.
