Generating multiple first round draft picks is one of the greatest signs of a successful college football program. Nate Frazier has a chance this year to cement Georgia's 2026 roster as one of the most talented in the country if he can work his way into the first round of the 2027 NFL Draft, and he is starting to generate serious buzz.
Georgia has the championships and wins on the field that show they are elite, but their success at the draft every year is another reason why they are one of the top programs in the country. Heading into this season Georgia had two players who were thought to be first round locks in defensive backs Ellis Robinson and KJ Bolden. Nate Frazier however is quickly becoming someone who could become a first round pick as well.

Nate Frazier could take Georgia's 2027 NFL Draft class to the next level
It by no means is a guarantee that anyone at Georgia will be drafted in the first round, but Robinson and Bolden have a great chance to be taken that high at the 2027 NFL Draft. Frazier hasn't been mocked in the first round yet, but he is being viewed as someone who could work his way into the first round this year.
Frazier took a big step towards that during Georgia's week one win over Tennessee State. He only carried the ball four times, but he rattled off 72 yards and three touchdowns. It's unlikely he'll be that efficient again this year, but he took the step of what could be a special season in Athens.
Georgia once again will approach double digit picks at the 2027 NFL Draft like they do every year. It isn't often though that they have three players taken in the first round. At the 2026 NFL Draft Georgia had two first round picks, but all it could take is a big year from Frazier and the Bulldogs could have three first round picks this year.
Georgia's recent success at the NFL Draft
Georgia still holds the record for the most players taken in a single draft. At the 2022 NFL Draft they had a whopping 15 players selected with five of them coming in the first round.
Last year Georgia had less picks than they are accustomed to as they had eight players taken to go with their two first round picks. That was still good enough for the seventh-most in the draft which is pretty remarkable for a down year.
At the 2025 NFL Draft Georgia had 13 picks with three first rounders. In 2024 they had eight selections with two first rounders and in 2023 they had 10 picks with three first round selections.
Add all of that together and you will find that Georgia has had the most players selected out of any school in the country during the last five drafts. Georgia's 2027 draft class will likely continue that trend, but it might up to Frazier if they want to have three first round picks this year.
