Georgia head coach Kirby Smart is on fire right now when it comes to recruiting, and everyone should know about it. Smart just landed a commitment from 4-star offensive tackle Ekene Ogboko, who is ranked as the No. 3 interior offensive lineman in the Class of 2026 according to 247Sports.
Ogboko chose the Bulldogs over Clemson, Florida, and Notre Dame and is the ninth ESPN 300 commit to join the Class of 2026 at Georgia. Ogboko does have some family ties thought o the Bulldogs as his brother, Nnamdi Ogboko, is currently in Athens as a second-year defensive lineman.
This is a huge commitment for Smart and the Bulldogs after missing out on two top offensive linemen in Jackson Catnwell, who committed to Miami, and Keenyi Pepe, who committed to USC. Georgia also fell out of the running for Immanuel Iheanacho, who is a five-star offensive lineman ranked No. 12 in the Class of 2026.
Ogboko will be able to make an immediate impact at Georgia, joining the offensive line when he steps foot on campus. Ogboko is the first four-star offensive lineman to commit to Georgia and is ranked as the fourth-highest recruit in his class.

Kirby Smart swung for the fences and did not miss with Ekene Ogboko
Ogboko found exactly what he was looking for when deciding to commit to Georgia. In an interview with ESPN about his commitment, Ogboko spoke about what he believes the Bulldogs will be able to do for him.
"They came to me and showed me I was a priority," Ogboko said. "I wanted to find a place that can prepare me for the NFL. Georgia is the program that sends guys at my position to the league."
Of course, every day of a college football player is to make it to the league someday, and Ogboko believes he can do that at Georgia. Smart made sure to swing big for Ogboko and truly hit a home run with this commitment.
