National writer names new Top 10 that will shock Georgia fans

Georgia football is fresh off their season opening win against Marshall where they dominated in all facets of the game en route to their 45-7 victory. To be fair, it's impossible to crown UGA as the best team in the country based only on this result because Marshall was severely overmatched, but it was easy to see that Georgia has the talent make a run at a championship this season.

Based on the fact that Georgia hasn't played any tough competition yet and a few other schools earned some big wins last weekend, it is fine to have a few team ranked higher than Georgia right now. But everyone in the country should agree that UGA is a top five team entering week two. That is where the AP Poll had the Bulldogs in their preseason poll, and Georgia did nothing against Marshall to drop below that.

Yahoo Sports analyst Ross Dellenger however does not agree. In fact, he doesn't even have Georgia inside his top 10 right now.

Georgia disrespected in latest top 10 rankings from CFB analyst

As mentioned, there are a few teams who deserve to be ranked above Georgia after their monster week one wins. Teams like Ohio State, LSU and Miami (FL) all earned wins against a top 10 team, so it is fair to rank them above Georgia, but to have UGA outside of the top 10 is ridiculous.

Tennessee, Auburn, Utah and South Carolina all beat unranked teams yet are somehow ranked above Georgia. On top of that, Florida State jumping all the way to No. 3 after beating a bad Alabama team seems like too big of a jump. Then there is Clemson and Texas who both lost last weekend yet are still ranked higher than Georgia.

Georgia isn't the only team that was disrespected as Penn State and Oregon are both top 10 teams in the AP Poll yet are not included in this top 10 after winning comfortably on Saturday. So who knows how Dellenger came up with these rankings, but there is no way that he is able to defend how ridiculous they are.
