Georgia’s biggest win so far this offseason was when five-star running back Kemon Spell committed to the Bulldogs last week. He is the No. 1 running back and No. 7 overall player in the country, so its obvious why this is such a big deal.

But Spell won’t be able to win games at Georgia by himself. He is going to need a lot of help and he himself knows that, so that is what he is already putting his recruiting hat on to help add more players to the Bulldogs’ 2027 recruiting class.

The recruit that Spell has his eyes on is three-star wide receiver Amare Patterson. He is a bit underrated as he is just outside the top 400 in the 2027 recruiting class, but that isn’t stopping Georgia from putting the full court press on him.

Patterson was in Athens two weeks ago alongside Spell during Georgia’s Junior Day recruiting event. While there hasn’t been much information to come out after his visit, he did schedule an official visit later this year in May. So while he may not be ready to announce a commitment yet, it is clear that Georgia is high on his list.

Spell being in his ear won’t hurt Georgia’s chances in this recruitment at all. In fact, it could end up being the thing that tips his recruitment in their favor. Patterson is also cousins with current superstar Bulldog KJ Bolden, so he certainly will be helping get him to Georgia as well.

Time will tell if this is a recruitment Georgia wins or not, but as it stands today it seems like they are the team to beat. And with Spell and Bolden both in his ear it’s hard to imagine him choosing to play for anyone else.
