New 5-star QB reportedly visiting Georgia football
The wild twist and turns for Georgia football in this recruiting class when it comes to recruiting the quarterback position continue to roll on. Georgia already has a commitment from elite four-star QB Ryan Montgomery, but Kirby Smart has made it more than clear that he wants another QB in this recruiting class.
Georgia already has a couple QBs visiting this weekend during the Tennessee game and recently made a new offer to four-star QB KaMario Taylor. And now it appears that Georgia is adding another new name to this growing list of QB recruits.
5-star QB Julian Lewis
Julian Lewis is a five-star QB from Carrolton, GA. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, he is the No. 31 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 5 QB in his class and the No. 6 player from Georgia.
According to Pete Nakos and Steven Wiltfong with On3, Georgia is expected to host Lewis on a visit to Athens soon. This would suggest that he is very interested in Georgia as well, but there are a couple problems for UGA.
The first problem for Georgia is that Lewis is already committed to USC. He committed to the Trojans back in August of 2023, so that shows that he is a big fan of their program.
However, rumors are starting to swirl that Lewis may be trending to a new school. On Sunday and Monday of this week, two crystal ball predictions came in on 247Sports for Lewis to flip his commitment to Colorado. So while that is good new for Georgia because it shows he is having serious second thoughts about his commitment to USC, there appears to already be another school above Georgia in this recruitment.
But Smart and his staff are not giving up. As long as Lewis does make this visit to Georgia, they will have a chance to win this recruitment in the end.
