The college football world is entering the part of the 2026 recruiting cycle where commitments are becoming more common. That is good news for Georgia football because their 2026 class still sits at just six commits as of today.
But that can change in a hurry because today’s recruiting world is as unpredictable as ever. However, one thing that can still be relied upon is expert predictions, and Georgia just received a crystal ball prediction in their favor for an offensive lineman in the 2026 class.
3-star IOL Malcolm Gaston
Malcolm Gaston is a three-star offensive lineman from North Augusta, SC. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Gaston is the No. 448 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 42 offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 10 player from his home state of South Carolina.
Gaston is someone that Georgia has had on their radar for quite some time, and he has been showing a lot of interest in the Bulldogs as well. He made a recent visit to Georgia and has also scheduled an official visit to Athens for later this summer as well. Gaston has even gone as far as to name UGA as one of his top schools as well, along with Florida, Virginia Tech and Florida State.
These are all great signs that point towards Georgia being the team to beat for Gaston, but the best sign of all is that 247Sports’ Benjamin Wolk logged an official prediction for Georgia to win this recruitment on April 2.
Obviously things can still change until Gaston makes his commitment official, but it appears Georgia is the clear leader right now. And according to 247Sports, a commitment is expected from Gaston by the end of May, so UGA fans won’t have to wait much longer for this commitment.
