Georgia football currently has the No. 12 recruiting class in the country according to 247Sports. That ranking is not where anyone wants it to be, but it is actually quite good considering Kirby Smart and his staff only have nine commits while most other schools above them have a lot more already.
Georgia fans however will be paying very close attention to the recruiting rankings as they anxiously wait for UGA to move up and hopefully contend for the No. 1 class in the country. Georgia will need to add a lot more commits before they will even flirt with having the top class, so until then all UGA fans can do is pay attention to where their current commits are ranked.
247Sports released an update to their 2026 recruiting rankings on Wednesday, and four Bulldogs found themselves included in their top 250. But one Bulldog commit had a massive improvement to their ranking that is a cause for serious celebration.
So let's dive right in and review the four Georgia commits currently ranked inside 247Sports updated recruiting rankings.

Jared Curtis earns coveted fifth star from 247Sports
The highlight from the above update is clearly quarterback commit Jared Curtis, who has officially earned his fifth star. Curtis has been a five-star QB for quite some time now, but that has always been according to the composite rankings on 247Sports and On3. However, he was yet to earn that status from 247Sports individual ranking until Wednesday when he was given his coveted fifth star.
Looking at the three other commits included in 247Sports top 250, all three players saw their ranking decrease. Jordan Smith and Vance Spafford's rankings barely decreased, so there is no reason to be concerned about them. Safety Zech Fort on the other hand dropped 40 spots, so that is a tough update to see.
Georgia does have five other commits in their class, but all five fell outside of the top 250 according to 247Sports. Tight end Lincoln Keyes is the only four-star of the bunch while the other four commits are all three-stars.
This will not be the last update for this recruiitng cycle, so all nine commits will see their ranking adjust throughout the rest of the year. But as it stands today, Georgia already has one of the top classes in the country which will likely only improve as time goes on.
