Georgia football so far this season has been able to survive the injury bug. They have had a few injruies they've had to deal with, but overall it hasn't been anything they couldn't overcome.

The Bulldogs however have a new injury they have to deal with now as true freshman wide receiver Talyn Taylor suffered an upper-body injury on Thursday that will cause him to miss Georgia's upcoming game against Kentucky.

Star WR Talyn Taylor ruled out vs. Kentucky

According to multiple reports, Taylor suffered this injury during practice on Thursday. No specific details have been shared about his injury, but it will require surgery. This means Taylor will miss Georgia's game against Kentucky this weekend as well as a few others in the future as well.

Taylor is off to a slow start to his Georgia career. So far he has caught just two balls for 28 yards in his first season at UGA. Unfortunately the biggest highlight of his season so far came against Alabama when he dropped a perfectly thrown ball from Gunner Stockton that he would have scored on. Georgia may have beaten Alabama had he caught that pass, but unfortunately he did not come down with it.

Taylor is a former five-star receiver out of high school, so the potential is there for him to be a great player. He just needs more time and reps before he becomes a standout receiver for Georgia. Unfortunately he won't be getting those additional reps anytime soon.

His injury shouldn't impact Georgia on the field too much, but losing a key depth piece can be a little scary. The hope now is that Georgia's wide receiver room doesn't suffer anymore injuries because their depth would seriously be challenged if they do.
