Georgia football is entering the College Football Playoff with all the momentum in the world. The Bulldogs just took down Alabama in the SEC Championship in dominant fashion and currently posses the second longest win streak in the country. So out of all the teams that can win a national title, Georgia is one of the programs that tops that list.
Even if that is the case, actually winning a national title is going to be difficult. But one of their potential opponents is rumored to be dealing with a quarterback injury that could seriously impact their chances of beating Georgia and winning a national title.

New injury could increase Georgia's chances at winning a National Championship
Georgia football got a little lucky entering the playoff this season. While the Bulldogs felt like they deserved the 2-seed, the CFP committee gave them the 3-seed and kept Ohio State above them. However, their potential opponents in Tulane and Ole Miss are much easier than the Buckeyes potential opponents in Miami and Texas A&M.
This makes Georgia's path to make the National Championship game a little easier. It's unclear who Georgia would play if they make the title game, but one of those teams could be Alabama. And according to multiple reports, quarterback Ty Simpson might be playing through an injury right now.
If he is injured then there is a slim chance Alabama makes the title game. But if they do, Georgia could benefit from him being a little banged up.
Playing Alabama for a third time this season in the National Championship game would be a wild way to finish this season, but if it did happen Georgia should like their chances of winning. Not only because of this potential injury to Simpson, but because they just dominated them last week in the SEC Championship game.
