Georgia football and Kirby Smart made one thing clear earlier this offseason, they want to add another quarterback out of the transfer portal. When the portal was open after this past season ended, UGA contacted multiple quarterbacks in the portal, but they were unable to convince any of them to transfer to Georgia.
Knowing that they were unable to add anyone, one would assume that Georgia will once again actively look for a QB in the portal with the spring portal window now open as a way to replace Jaden Rashada who left the program. And if that is the case, then a perfect candidate just hit the portal that Georgia should take a look at.

Virginia Tech transfer QB Davi Belfort
Davi Belfort is a transfer QB that has spent one season with Virginia Tech. Out of high school, Belfort was a high three-star quarterback that had countless high major programs after him. He ultimately ended up choosing Virginia Tech where he unfortunately did not receive any snaps during his one season with the program.
It is unclear why Befort is looking for a new home, but he is the perfect candidate for Georgia to take a look at.
Either Gunner Stockton or Ryan Puglisi will be the starting quarterback for Geogia this season, so that is what makes it tough for Georgia if they look for another QB to add in the transfer portal. They need to be able to sell to someone that Georgia is the right place for them even if they won't be the starter or even the backup this season.
Since that is the case, it will be impossible for Georgia to add any of the best QBs in the portal, but someone like Belfort could be interested in coming to a school like Georgia where he can be coached up to potentially become the starter in the future.
Time will tell if Georgia shows any interest in Belfort or not, but it may not be the worst idea in the world for Georgia to contact him.
