NFL Draft expert is impressed with one Georgia star during Senior Bowl practice

Georgia football's season has been over for about a month now, but that doesn't mean UGA fans have to wait until the fall to watch their favorite Bulldogs compete on the field again. And no, this has nothing to do with the NFL Playoffs.

Now that the NFL Playoffs have a week off before Super Bowl week begins, it's time to let the stars of college football take center stage again as they prepare for the upcoming NFL Draft later this summer. Yes, that means it is time for the Senior Bowl.

The Senior Bowl is one of the most exciting events of the offseason as the best players entering the NFL Draft from across the country come together to practice and compete with each other one more time in an All Star type game. And thankfully for Georgia fans, they have a lot to cheer for as six Bulldogs will be participating in this event.

Practices for the Senior Bowl are underway, and one Bulldog in particular grabbed the attention of ESPN NFL Draft expert Matt Miller, who shared the below post on social media after practice.

"Trevor Etienne dominated today. Great all-around performance for the Georgia running back."

Trevor Etienne needs to have a big week

All Georgia football fans know how special of a talent Etienne is. Etienne played just one season with Georgia and unfortuantely only appeared in 10 games this year due to injury, but he was more than excellent in those 10 games.

Etienne finished the season with 122 carries for 609 yards and nine touchdowns. He also accumulated 32 receptions for an additional 194 yards as well.

These stats are pretty solid for only playing in 10 games, but unfortunately it was not enough to impress everyone. In fact, CBS Sports does not even have Etienne ranked in the top 18 running backs in his year's draft. Now this very well could be a mistake, but it shows how important this week and the next few months are for Etienne and his draft stock.

Thankfully he showcased his abilities in a big way and was noticed by at least one NFL Draft expert.
