Gunner Stockton has quickly become one of the top quarterbacks in all of college football. Just a few months ago that was not the case as countless analysts did not believe Stockton was good enough to lead UGA to a lot of success.

That however is not the case anymore after his dominant performance against Tennessee the last time he took the field.

College football fans and analysts are beginning to take notice of Stockton and recognize that he is a superstar in this sport. And the latest analyst to come over to the good side is none other than Nick Saban.

Nick Saban said what every Georgia fan already knew about Gunner Stockton

Saban said three things about Stockton on the Pat McAfee Show on Friday, and all three of these things speak volumes about the player he is and can be. Saban first said that he knows Stockton has always been a great competitor, and so far this season he has proven that on the field. The second thing he said was that he believes Stockton is only going to get better, which should be a scary thing for the rest of the country to hear.

But Saban saved the best for last as he said that not only do his teammates love Stockton, but they believe in him now more than other.

Most Georgia fans already knew these three things about Stockton, but it is nice to hear it from someone as respected as Saban. And the fact that he said this one day before Stockton plays Alabama makes it even more meaningful.

Stockton has a long way to go before he is officially crowned the best quarterback in college football. But so far he has shown that he has the potential to accomplish just that thanks to his recent surge in the Heisman Trophy odds and the fact that he has helped make Georgia one of the frontrunners to win the National Championship this season.
