Georgia football is gearing up for one of their toughest tests of the season as they travel to No. 16 Ole Miss this weekend for an SEC showdown. The Bulldogs have all the momentum in the world right now after winning their last four games, but the Rebels are also riding high right now as well.

One of the key things to watch leading into any matchup is the injury reports for both Georgia and their opponent. And that especially was the case on Wednesday when Ole Miss released their initial report which had one of their best players as "doubtful."

Wide receiver Tre Harris "doubtful" for Saturday's game

According to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, Ole Miss star wide receiver Tre Harris is listed as "doubtful" for the Georgia vs. Ole Miss game on Saturday. Injury news doesn't really get more significant than this because Harris is the best wide receiver on the Rebels' team by far.

So far this season, Harris has record 987 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 59 receptions. His receptions and receiving yards is leaps and bounds better than any other Ole Miss receiver, and he is also No. 2 on the team in receiving touchdowns.

Now it's wrong to ever hope for a player to be injured and to miss a game, no matter who it is or who Georgia is playing This injury however is a stroke of luck for Georgia. Ole Miss is coming off their last game where they scored 63 points on the road against Arkansas. Sure they can probably still score a lot without Harris, but it will be a lot more difficult for them to do so without him.

Georgia was also only a 2.5 point favorite over Ole Miss earlier this week, but after this news there is a good chance that will increase slightly on the sportsbooks.

There still is a chance Harris will play Saturday since he hasn't officially been ruled out, but even if he does play, one would assume it would be in a limited capacity.
