The Georgia Bulldogs have been waiting for a generational quarterback to come along for years now, and they seem to have finally struck gold. When Kirby Smart landed the commitment from 5-star quarterback Jared Curtis, everyone knew he was a special player, but it feels like since his commitment, the Bulldogs just continue to get a pat on the back.

On3 recruits released their top committed quarterbacks list, and Curtis didn't just top the list; he was rated as a five-star plus quarterback. Curtis is ranked above SEC rival Texas's QB commit Dia Bell and Tennessee QB commit Faizon Brandon. Curtis is probably the biggest win for the Bulldogs this recruiting cycle, and he should have a very high ceiling at Georgia.

This ranking just proves even more how big of a commitment Curtis is to Smart and Georgia. Curtis hasn't just committed to Georgia and forgotten about the team since; he has been active at official visit weekends and working to get other 2026 prospects in the door at Georgia. Curtis is also reposting prospects' social media posts, encouraging them to join the Bulldogs, which is huge for the program.

Curtis has been a dream commit for Georgia since he made his announcement back in early May. The fact that a commit is taking the time to be at official visit weekends to encourage other prospects to choose Georgia is more than anyone could have asked of the young gunslinger.

The Tennessee native was named the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year adn Mr. Tennessee Football after his junior season at Nashville Christian School. With one last season to show his talent in high school, Curtis could improve his ratings even more. He may not be able to add stars, but he can always improve and get ready for his career in Athens.
