Saturday night turned into a really scary situation for Georgia. Rumors began to circulate in the evening that star running back Nate Frazier was not 100 percent locked in with Georgia for next season. Recruiting insiders and fans feared that he could enter the Transfer Portal and leave the program, and that would be one of the biggest losses in the history of Georgia football.

While no official word has come out from Frazier or Georgia, On3 insider Rusty Mansell hinted that Frazier may in fact be committed to UGA for the 2026 season.

Georgia gets the Nate Frazier news everyone’s been waiting for

The above post shows Mansell reacting to a post from a fan. The fan said “He’s gone buddy” referring to the rumors of Frazier leaving Georgia. Mansell however responded to that post saying “not so fast.”

There are a few important things to mention about the Frazier saga. Mansell isn’t 100 percent confirming anything with this post. It does seem like Frazier is here to stay, but until someone specifically says that anything is possible.

Frazier also could change his mind as well, so even if he is committed to Georgia he could decide in a few days to enter the portal. He does only have until Jan. 16 to enter the portal, so if Georgia can survive until then that means Frazier will be back next season.

But for now it looks like Frazier could be returning to Georgia next season. This obviously is huge news for the program if he does come back because he has the chance to not just be the No. 1 running back in the SEC, but one of the top backs in the country.

So hopefully this post from Mansell actually means what it looks like, because losing Frazier would be very difficult to overcome.
