At time s it feels like Paul Finebaum can be Georgia's biggest critic. But he is known for being a big supporter of Georgia at times as well, so it really just depends on the day.
Finebaum's constant need to change his opinions forces him to put his foot in his mouth quite often, and that is what he has had to do with his opinion on Gunner Stokton.
“There is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that Gunner Stockton is the guy who can lead Georgia to an SEC championship, a College Football Playoff berth, and a run through the playoff based on what I saw yesterday,” Finebaum shared via atozsports.com. “For all the criticism that I and many others have directed at him and Mike Bobo, it was a pretty ingenious game plan as well. And Gunner Stockton was able to execute it.”

Kirby Smart came for Finebaum's throat this offseason. Finebaum originally said that he was not a believer in Stockton and that Georgia would not be successful with him, and when Smart was interviewed on his show he made sure to bring that up.
Fast forward to today and Stockton has proven his head coach right while proving Finebaum wrong. Stockton has played so well this season that he even made Finebaum take back his previous comments and say that Stockton is more than capable of leading Georgia to an SEC Championship and deep College Football Playoff run.
But Georgia fans remember what Finebaum said before. They remember how adamently against Stockton he was. So while it is nice to see him give Stockton some praise, Georgia knows there is no room on their bandwagon for Finebaum.
Stokton and Georgia are on a bye this week and are gearing up to take on Florida on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 3:30 pm EST.
