In case you missed it, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs did battle in the Super Bowl on Sunday with the Eagles coming out on top in dominant fashion 40-22.
For fans looking forward to watching a close and exciting game, this was not it. But that is okay when it comes to the Super Bowl because there is still so much to watch as every player is battling their hearts out as they attempt to win the ultimate prize the sport of football has to offer.
Georgia football fans however specifically had a lot to cheer for as there were former Bulldogs on both teams in this year's Super Bowl. Thankfully it was the Eagles who won this game because they had the most Bulldogs (6) in their organization compared to the two from the Chiefs. So that means that many former Bulldogs got to celebrate this Super Bowl victory which just so happens to be their first.
Georgia's former players unfortunately did not play too great in the Super Bowl, but they were one of the biggest reasons why Philadelphia was able to make it this far in the first place. So much so that Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts gave them and Georgia a shoutout leading up to this game.
That praise from Hurts did not stop after the game as he once again shouted out the entire Eagles defense which includes Georgia's former players.
“Defense wins championships.”

Defense wins championships
The NFL has quickly turned into a league centered around elite offensive play. So much so that the old saying "defense wins championships" didn't seem to apply any longer. But Hurts however does not feel that way as he gave his entire defense a shoutout after the game for holding the Chiefs to zero points in the first half.
Georgia fans know a thing or two about watching a dominant defense leading their team to championships, so it was a lot of fun to see former Bulldogs contribute to that on the field in the Super Bowl just like they did in college.
