3 biggest gets for Georgia in the transfer portal
By Josh Yourish
In 2022, London Humphreys was a three-star coming out of high school and didn’t even get an offer from Georgia, but after one season at Vanderbilt with 22 catches for 439 yards and four touchdowns, Kirby changed his mind.
Humphreys only caught 45.7% of his targets last year, but Vanderbilt’s quarterback play was a far cry from Carsen Beck. He may not be dominant right away, but Humphreys will be a playmaker with the ball in his hands, after averaging 6.0 yards after the catch per reception.
The biggest issue for Humphreys is his physicality at the catch point. At 6-foot-2 186 pounds, he just managed to bring down three of his 13 contest catch opportunities in 2023. Still, his numbers were great for a freshman in the SEC, and he will be an important part of Georgia’s passing game next season.
