Auburn vs. Georgia how to watch, odds, injuries, weather, and series history
By Josh Yourish
The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry is back in Week 6 of the college football season with the 129th matchup between Auburn vs. Georgia. While the head-to-head has largely been even, Kirby Smart’s arrival in Athens has changed the balance of power. Georgia has won the last seven meetings, including the 2017 SEC Championship game and since taking over his alma mater, Smart is 8-1 against the Tigers.
Smart’s only loss to Auburn as Georgia’s head coach came in the 2017 regular season, 40-17 at Jordan-Hare Stadium, but Smart got his revenge, taking down the Tigers for the SEC title 28-7. From 1995-98, Smart went 2-2 against Auburn as a player.
Auburn needs a win, coming off a Week 5 loss home loss to Oklahoma, an SEC newcomer with a true freshman starting quarterback. However, Georgia may need one even more after falling to Alabama 41-34 in Tuscaloosa last Saturday. The loss was the program’s first in the regular season since November 7, 2020.
It’s homecoming in Athens and the Bulldogs are favored to get back into the win column. Let’s check out the odds for Auburn and Georgia, but first, here’s how you can watch The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry on Saturday.
