Clemson vs. Georgia final odds and prediction
By Josh Yourish
Kirby Smart loves to test his Georgia Bulldogs early in the season and this year is no different. In the Week 1 Aflac Kickoff Game, No. 1 Georgia will face the No. 14 Clemson Tigers, the first of five ranked matchups on the schedule.
The last time Kirby Smart and Dabo Swinney met back in 2021, Kirby wasn’t yet a national champion head coach, but now the two college football legends are all square at two apiece and Smart’s program is still on the ascent.
Back then, Georgia needed just 10 points to beat the Tigers, 10-3, and the game’s lone touchdown came from Kirby’s defense. This season, with Carson Beck instead of JT Daniels at quarterback, the Dawg's offense is expected to be humming, and the sportsbooks certainly don’t expect another 13-point total. The books expect Georgia to win by that margin.
Let’s check out the odds for Georgia and Clemson in the Aflac Kickoff Game in Week 1 of the college football season.

Clemson vs. Georgia prediction
Kirby Smart’s team is back to No. 1 in the country, but now it’s because of his offense and his quarterback instead of his defense. Mykel Williams is a force on the defensive line, but Georgia’s secondary is very young and could be tested by former five-star quarterback Cade Klubnik, is his second season under offensive coordinator Garrett Riley.
While Smart and DC Glenn Schumann work out the kinks with an unproven group, Beck and the Georgia pass-catchers will carry the Dawgs. Beyond returning Dillon Bell, Dominic Lovett, and Oscar Delp, Georgia added Colbie Young from Miami (FL), London Humphreys from Vanderbilt, and Ben Yurosek from Stanford. That depth of wide receivers and tight ends will be too much for Clemson’s defense to handle and will lead to a significant offensive output.
Swinney, on the other hand, refuses to supplement his roster through the transfer portal, joining the three service academies as the only four programs not to accept a single transfer this offseason. Without a yearly influx of talent, Clemson will continue to fall behind the premier programs and this game will be another example of it with Georgia pulling away late in a high-scoring win.
