Georgia fans already fed up the Mike Bobo after just one half of football

The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs went into the half with a 6-0 lead over the No. 14 Clemson Tigers, and despite the defensive dominance, Dawgs fans aren’t too happy with their team's performance in the first half of the 2024 college football season.
The Aflac Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium between these two longtime rivals and legendary head coaches is a perfect showcase for what Kirby Smart’s roster is capable of this season. The expectation is to win a third national championship in four years and certainly to make the 12-team College Football Playoff, but Smart’s coaching staff may be holding back the immense talent on his roster.
Carson Beck entered the year as one of the Heisman Trophy favorites and in the first half, he went 15/19 for 126 yards, but his unit was held to just two field goals. Beck wasn’t given many opportunities to throw the ball down the field and Georgia fans are getting tired of offensive coordinator Mike Bobo’s playcalling.
Without Trevor Etienne and Roderick Robinson II in the backfield, Georgia is looking for answers against a stout Clemson defense. Tight end Lawson Luckie is the leading receiver with two catches for 37 yards, and on the ground, true freshman Nate Frazier is leading the way with 20 yards on four carries. Branson Robinson has been held to five yards on five carries and just four yards on two catches. Yet, Bobo continues to lean on the ground game.
For a frustrated few, the sluggish first half even zapped a bit of the excitement that built up all offseason.
Though others, are preaching patience and have been even before kickoff today.
Georgia will be fine this season and in the second half against Clemson, but both things can be true. The fans who want Bobo gone are overreacting, and this half of football hasn’t been pretty.
