Georgia football: 10 Bulldogs who defined Running Back U

Georgia isn't the only college football program that has a case to be RBU, but these 10 Bulldogs might be better than any 10 at any other school.

Georgia's backfield was loaded from 2014-17. In that stretch, the Bulldogs had four players on this list. Even with Todd Gurley, Sony Michel, and eventually D'Andre Swift on the same team, Chubb was the alpha. In 2014 as a freshman, Chubb led the team with 219 carries for 1,547 yards, an average of 7.1 yards per carry with 14 touchdowns.

In 2015, Chubb only played six games, but still put up 747 yards and averaged a ridiculous 8.1 yards per carry. 2016 and 2017 were two more 1,000-yard seasons and Chubb is second only to Herschel Walker on the Georgia all-time rushing list.

His level of production was absurd and he did it as the main workhorse back for all four seasons of his collegiate career. Still, Chubb had a lot left for the NFL. After getting selected by the Browns in the second round, Chubb ran for 969 yards as a rookie, then amassed four straight 1,000-yard seasons.

He has missed nearly the entire 2023 season due to a horrific knee injury.
