Georgia Football has had many great Quarterbacks. Fran Tarkenton, Eric Zier, David Greene, D.J. Shockley, Matthew Stafford, Aaron Murray, and Stetson Bennett are some of the greatest QBs in college football history.

At the very least, they must be on the list of all-time greats. Carson Beck wants to add himself to that list this year with another stellar season and a possible national championship run. With that, Beck could quickly put himself on the list of all-time greats.

Beck had a great season last year and looks to improve on that. He is in the running for the Heisman, and ESPN just named him the best quarterback in college football. Last season, Beck ranked third nationally and first in the SEC in passing yards with 3,941 yards and fourth nationally in completion percentage with 72%. Given those stats, it makes sense that he would be one of the top QBs in the country.

I know I am biased, but the tape never lies. Beck has one of the best arms in college football, and many inside the Georgia Football program have said that his IQ is off the charts. Many believe he will be a first-round pick in next year's NFL Draft.

However, some people do not feel like we do about Beck.

In all honesty, when I saw this, I tried my very hardest to find three other quarterbacks in the college football landscape who are better than Beck. If you are a devoted reader of Dawn of The Dawg (and if not, you should be), you know sometimes I can be hypercritical of the Dawgs. I have high expectations for the team and for the Dawg’s quarterback.

I hate to admit this, but I sat there for at least 20 minutes thinking, who is better than Carson Beck? The only argument I could come up with was Quinn Ewers, the Texas QB. But that is only one guy, and I wouldn’t take him over Beck! If you feel like wasting 5 minutes of your life, look at the comments and see some of the names people suggested that are better than Beck. I laughed out loud.

ESPN finally got something right about Georgia Football and gave Carson Beck the praise he deserves. But because of Beck's praise, I can hear Larry Munson in the back of my mind saying the most negative things ever. But that is something to deal with in August. As of now, bring on the hype!
