After the first half of the first game of the 2024 season and a 6-0 Bulldogs lead, Georgia football fans are already trying to bark offensive coordinator Mike Bobo up a tree.

The Georgia offense has looked nothing like the squad who hung 63 points on Florida State in the Orange Bowl, but in fairness, the Clemson defense is a little more well-heeled than the Seminoles were last season.

Still, Georgia fans want to see bludgeonings, and when the offense is continually sputtering they turn their anger toward Bobo, and are not shy about the commentary

Ouch, that last one hurt. But, even the media likes getting in on the Bobo bashing occasionally.

For all those who want to storm Mike Bobo's backyard Labor Day barbeque, it's important to keep in mind that Clemson's defense is good. Really good. And Georgia is shorthanded at running back and on the offensive line thanks to injuries...and bad decisions.

It's the first game of a long season, and Georgia has a lot of new pieces on the chessboard, so maybe Bobo deserves a little slack?

But Georgia fans are gonna Georgia fan, and that means pitchforks and torches where Mike Bobo is concerned.
