Georgia NFL mock draft: Stock up/down after the Senior Bowl
By Josh Yourish
As a junior, Lassiter was a Second-Team All-SEC selection at cornerback and it looks like he’ll be a second-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. There was a time that Lassiter had a chance to go in the first, but his stock has fallen off a bit.
Lassiter had first-round production in 2023, only allowing receivers to catch 38.5% of the targets in his direction with five pass breakups, but at 6-foot 180 pounds, he doesn’t have elite size for the NFL and isn’t expected to test well at the combine.
If Lassiter does showcase elite-level athleticism in Indy then he’ll skyrocket up boards and could easily get into the first round, but for now, he’s a second-round sleeper and I see him staying in-state with the Falcons.
Atlanta has AJ Terrell as CB1 but needs somebody on the other side to sure up a secondary that was much improved in 2023 with the addition of Jesse Bates III at safety.
