The Steelers have two picks in a row in the fourth round and with the first they could go with the American Team MVP of the Senior Bowl. Smith broke up three passes in the game while playing nickel corner.

Smith played 434 snaps in the slot in 2023 and finished with four interceptions and two pass breakups and as a pass rusher amassed two sacks and nine pressures. He’d be a perfect fit in Pittsburgh where Mike Tomlin desperately needs an athletic nickel corner to round out his secondary.

Last season, Tomlin toyed with moving Patrick Peterson to the slot, but it’s clear his future is either at safety or on the couch. Smith’s pass-rushing ability will be very enticing to Pittsburgh.
