Georgia NFL mock draft: Stock up/down after the Senior Bowl
By Josh Yourish
Over his four-year injury-plagued career in Athens, Milton never led the Bulldogs in rushing yards, but in each of the past two seasons, he led the running backs in yards per carry at 7.0 in 2022 and 6.5 in 2023.
Milton is a talented and hyper-efficient back who is capable of breaking off big runs but has the size at 6-foot-1 220 pounds to get tough yardage between the tackles. If he can stay healthy, then he can be an impact running back for the Chargers, but that’s a big if.
The Chargers don’t have the best track record with oft-injured players, but Jim Harbaugh will want to build a power running game and Milton will be with the risk in the fifth round. I’d be surprised if Milton isn’t taken ahead of Daijuan Edwards, Georgia’s leading rusher this past season.
