After narrowly escaping its SEC opener against Kentucky in Week 3, No. 2 Georgia was on a much-needed bye in Week 4 before the biggest matchup of the college football season so far in Week 5. Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs will head to Tuscaloosa to face the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide.

This will be Smart’s sixth time facing Alabama, but the first since his former boss, Nick Saban retired and the program hired Kalen DeBoer to be his replacement. Through his first three games leading the Crimson Tide, DeBoer, who led Washington to the College Football Playoff in 2023, is 3-0 with wins over Western Kentucky, USF, and Wisconsin. So, this will be his first test in the SEC.

Last season, Georgia’s hopes of a spot in the final iteration of the four-team CFP, came to an end with an SEC Championship Game loss to Saban’s Tide 27-24. Jalen Milroe threw for 192 yards and two touchdowns, but the veteran quarterback leaned on the run game and his massive offensive line to take down Carson Beck and the Bulldogs.

Now, both quarterbacks are back for a rematch, one that could decide which team has the inside track for the SEC title in 2024, a spot in the 12-team CFP, and maybe even the Heisman Trophy. Here’s how you can watch it:
