The third Georgia player picked in the 2024 NFL Draft is wide receiver Ladd McConkey, who was picked by the Los Angeles Chargers with the 34th pick of the draft.
McConkey absolutely stunned everyone at the Senior Bowl, showing that he was one of the best route-runners in the nation. His acceleration and ability to lose defenders is almost legendary.
Teams may have been afraid to give McConkey a look because of some injury history, but he's had a lot of time to heal up and train. When on the field, he's a dangerous player and exactly the kind of receiver the Chargers and new head coach Jim Harbaugh will need.
It probably won't be long before McConkey becomes a favorite target of All-Pro quarterback Justin Herbert, who lost Keenan Allen via trade to the Chicago Bears, and veteran Mike Williams who was cut in a cap space move.
McConkey finished his career at Georgia with 1,687 receving yards and 14 touchdowns, and was an integral part of the back-to-back national championship teams from 2021 and 2022.
