Ranking every Georgia football offensive coordinator of the last 25 years
Technically, this was James Coley's fourth season as Georgia's offensive coordinator, but it was his first year doing the job solo. As much as the Dawgs struggled offensively when he was co-coordinator with Jim Chaney, it got even worse with him taking on the job alone.
Georgia fell from 18th in total offense in 2018, to 61st in 2019. The team with perhaps the deepest running back roster in the nation finished an awful 41st nationally in rushing yards, putting up only 185 yards per game on the ground.
Like Schottenheimer, Coley simply wasn't getting the most out of the star power on the roster and left a lot sitting on the table. The 12-2 record that season was more a result of Dan Lanning's dominant defense.
