8. Boise State Broncos
Lastly are the Boise State Broncos, who have their first CFP game of the season coming up against Penn State. Thankfully Penn State is one of the worst remaining teams left in the playoffs, so Boise State has one of the easiest opponentsf possible for them to play at this point. But even with Penn State being one of the worst teams remaining, they are still massive underdogs.
And it’s hard to argue against that, becuase Boise State is being carried by one player. To be fair, that player is running back Ashton Jeanty who is capable of carrying the Broncos to a win in this game, but that is going to be a very difficult task even for him.
But even if Boise State does get by Penn State, they then have to play Georgia or Notre Dame, who they have no chance at beating. So the fact that they have no chance of beating either opponent in the semifinals is enough reason to put them at No. 8 on this list.
