Georgia football’s 2025 season is only one month away. That will always get the juices flowing for any UGA fan, but one thing that is a little unfortunate this year is that Kirby Smart and Georgia will play the same eight SEC opponents that they did in 2024 this year.

Georgia’s schedule for the 2026 season however hasn’t been released yet, so hopefully the SEC will decide to shake things up next year. So in the spirit of hoping they do, here is Georgia’s predicted 2026 schedule.

Georgia’s predicted 2026 schedule

Week 1 (Sep. 5): vs. LSU

Week 2 (Sep. 12): vs. Western Kentucky (confirmed)

Week 3 (Sep. 19): @ Louisville (confirmed)

Week 4 (Sep. 26): @ Oklahoma

Week 5 (Oct. 3): bye week

Week 6 (Oct. 10): vs. Arkansas

Week 7 (Oct. 17): @ Vanderbilt

Week 8 (Oct. 24): @ Missouri

Week 9 (Oct. 31): vs Florida (confirmed)

Week 10 (Nov. 7): vs. South Carolina

Week 11 (Nov. 14): @ Texas A&M

Week 12 (Nov. 21): vs. Tennessee State

Week 13 (Nov. 28): vs. Georgia Tech (confirmed)

Georgia’s 4 confirmed games

Georgia so far has just four games confirmed on their 2026 schedule. Three of those games are against non-conference opponenets which includes home dates with Western Kentucky and Georgia Tech during week two and 13. The third confirmed non-conference game is a fun one as Georgia will travel to Louisville for a true road game week three.

The fourth and final confirmed game for UGA in 2026 is their annual rivalry matchup with Florida. This game will take place during week nine on Halloween and will be played in Atlanta instead of Jacksonville.

Georgia’s dilemma with their fourth non-conference opponent

Georgia just found out they will play Tennessee State next season as well. A date for this game hasn’t been announced yet, but it likely will either be week one or week 12 before their season finale clash with the Yellow Jackets.

Georgia almost always plays an easy non-conference opponent before they play Georgia Tech, but in order to keep that tradition alive UGA will have to play an SEC team week one. This is something Georgia and the SEC never do, but it could be a fun opportunity to try something new.

It is worth noting that other conferences do regularly have one or two conference games week zero or week one, so maybe next year the SEC will opt to do that and give Georgia a massive home game against a big program like LSU. College GameDay would likely be heading to Athens for that matchup as it would be an easy way to get the season off and running.

So for the sake of predicting something new to happen with next season’s schedule, let’s give Georgia a home game week one against LSU and put Tennessee State in the week 12 slot.

Rounding out Georgia’s SEC schedule

The SEC decided to give each team the same conference schedules in 2024 and 2025, so that might make Georgia’s conference schedule in 2026 easy to predict.

Knowing that Georgia will play Florida again next year, that leaves seven SEC teams that Georgia didn’t play during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. So it makes sense for those seven schools to complete Georgia’s 2026 SEC schedule along with Florida.

This would mean that UGA wouldn’t play rival Auburn in 2026, but SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey has stated he is going to do his best to keep each rivalry game in tact every year. So maybe Auburn will replace one of the seven other SEC schools.

So other than not knowing if UGA and Auburn will play again in 2026, the rest of Georgia’s schedule was filled out with each of those remaining SEC teams somewhat randomly. The Bulldogs will play four SEC road games in 2026 after only playing three this season, so that is reflected in the prediction. Georgia also somehow hasn’t played a game at Texas A&M since they joined the conference, so that had to be a game predicted for UGA next year.
