Semifinals
1. Oregon beats Texas 27-24
2. Georgia beats Penn State 24-6
Let's first begin with Georgia's game against Penn State, which has all the makings of a blowout. Just like how Indiana will struggle with Georgia's elite SEC defense, so to will Penn State, just on a greater scale. The Nittany Lions will be excited to make it this far in the playoff as this is their first ever appearance in the playoff, but this stage will be too big for them. And after getting two fairly easy matchups in their first two playoff games, Penn State will get exposed in front of a national audience.
The second semifinal game will feature a massive matchup between Oregon and Texas. Both teams have looked like top four teams all year and deserve to get this far in the playoffs, and this game will not disappoint.
It will be a back and forth battle that will make up for the lack luster showing from Penn State in the first semifinal. But it will be the Big Ten Champion Oregon Ducks who will find a way to survive and move on to the National Championship game with a chance to be the first team to ever finish a season 16-0 in college football.
